And I thought I would start with how it can save you money on some things that are very easy to sew. For example pillow cases. These can cost a lot of money. But you can go buy half a yard of fabric, and some thread and you can make your own. For one pillow case you would need a half of yard of fabric (standard pillow), A color of thread to match. Now you can use a sewing a machine or a sew it by hand. You take the fabric and fold it in half so that the pretty sides are together. You then pin each of the long sides together. Then you take your needle and thread or you head to your sewing machine and stitch up each side. Take the pins out turn it right side in and you have your new pillow case. The cost of this depends on how much the fabric you pick costs. It takes about a half hour to make. Quick easy and cheap. A great way to save money!
